Privacy Policy
This policy describes the data used by the current DimWeightPro website and calculator. It should be reviewed whenever analytics, advertising, authentication, billing, or data-retention behavior changes.
Data used by the calculator
Calculator settings, user-entered carrier rates, recent calculation history, and custom box sizes can be stored in the browser using local storage. The current keys are dimWeightPro_settings, dimWeightPro_history, and dimWeightPro_customBoxes. This local data stays in that browser unless it is cleared, replaced, or synchronized to an authenticated account as described below.
For signed-in users, Firebase Authentication processes account identifiers such as email address and user ID. Cloud Firestore stores account status, calculation-history fields, custom box dimensions, and Stripe customer/subscription status fields. Password authentication is handled by Firebase; DimWeightPro does not store readable account passwords.
Payments and subscriptions
Paid upgrades and billing management redirect to Stripe-hosted pages. Stripe processes payment and billing details under its own privacy terms. DimWeightPro stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, access-expiration information, cancellation state, and webhook-processing records needed to grant and maintain Pro access. The calculator does not receive full card numbers.
Analytics
DimWeightPro loads Google Analytics 4 using measurement ID G-N891DHPBSQ. Google Analytics can collect browser, device, approximate-location, page-interaction, and pseudonymous identifier information. It commonly uses first-party cookies such as _ga and a property-specific _ga_* cookie. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics cookie information.
Advertising
Free-plan calculator pages can load Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers, and page or ad-interaction information to serve, limit, measure, and personalize advertising where permitted. Google may use advertising cookies based on visits to this and other websites. Visitors can review or change Google ad-personalization settings at Google Ads Settings and learn how Google uses partner-site data at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
The calculator at /embed does not contain AdSense ad units. A website that embeds it can have its own analytics, advertising, cookies, and privacy policy.
Cookies and consent status
Authentication may use browser storage needed to keep a user signed in. Google Analytics and Google AdSense can set or read cookies and similar identifiers. Stripe can use cookies on its hosted checkout and billing pages.
Current limitation: the DimWeightPro code does not currently present a consent choice before Google Analytics and eligible AdSense units load. No Google-certified consent management platform has been verified in this repository. The site operator must configure and verify any consent mechanism required for visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other regulated regions before claiming consent compliance.
Retention and deletion
Browser-stored data remains until the browser or user clears it. The interface limits free history and limits the Pro history displayed locally, but no automatic server-side deletion period for Firestore history has been verified. Stripe, Firebase, Google, and email providers retain data under their own policies and operational or legal requirements.
There is not currently a self-service account-deletion control. To request access, correction, deletion, or help clearing account data, email support@dimweightpro.com from the account email when possible. Some billing or security records may need to be retained where required by law or needed to resolve disputes.
